Privacy policy

Draft for the Boafo pilot. The final text, the retention periods and the data-protection registration follow Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) before launch.

What we keep

• Customers: your phone number, name, saved addresses and your jobs.
• Providers: your phone number, profile and listings; your Ghana Card number (encrypted) and, during verification only, photos of the card and a selfie — deleted once the verification is decided; your position once, when you start a job.
• Guarantors: name, phone number and your consent (with its time and statement version). You can withdraw it at any time from the link we sent you.
• Shared contacts: the phone number a customer shares a job with, used once to send the link.

Who sees your number

A customer and a provider see each other's phone number only after the provider accepts the job, and only for that job. A guarantor's number is seen only by Boafo staff.

You can delete your account in the app, or ask us on the account deletion page.
